Nine years....... Where the fuck has time gone...
Overall, another uneventful year. No news is good news, I suppose :3
As a group, we've managed to watch (and thoroughly ridicule) nearly every episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation, and are currently in the process of doing the same to Babylon 5.
With real life what it is, we're going slow, but steady. I'll be happy when we clear season 1, myself :P
Trans has spent most of the year loitering around and playing with himself. He's been hitting the WoW considerably and is now one of the top-geared hunters in the world and New Jersey.
He's been to many a metal concert this year and has spent much of his time being drunk and listening to his noise music.
And now, this slacker gets this epic freaking job working for one of Israel's top IT companies.
Female Check Point employees, you have been warned.
Zippy has had a rather quiet year schlepping around equipment and rebooting computers, unless you count his abrupt encounter with a couple of parked cars, as his necrophilianarcolepsy "sleep disorder" finally caught up with him on the go; but thanks to Obama (!) he's got himself a shiny VPAP machine for pap-smears and what not.
He's also gotten himself in trouble with the law when he Drove While under the Influence a barely-conscious girlie home. Yes, being a White Knight gets you a criminal record. Lesson learned?
I'd feel more sorry for him if he wasn't still the manager of a college bar where hot girls get drunk and possibly naked.
Hidde has been out of Windmill country for the most part, mainly - spending several months in the land of the rising sun, trying to make tiny wires do tiny things to even tinier bits of dust that will, somehow, revolutionize our understanding of life, the universe and everything. Damn bastard, I want to go to Japan, too :(
In his spare time (how the HELL does he have spare time?!) he's been partying with the freshmen and running like a man posessed. Baka.
I've not done much with myself. Still in the same crappy job, crappy world, crappy life. Want everybody to die, etc. Same old, same old.
I've been hitting the WoW almost as hard as Trans, with varying degrees of success. This has taken its toll with my anime and manga time, and most everything else. On the up-side, I've recently begun to learn how to drive (better late than never).
All's right with the world.
And that's about it.
Nine years together. Not bad. It's amazing we haven't murdered eachother with rusted sporks yet.
Yet.

Eight years.
Eight years since we started this little spot of ours on the intertubes.
I think no-one will argue that it's a different place than it was even a year ago, not to mention eight.
Things have certainly slowed, and real life has come a'knocking; but we're still here, and we're all still insane, in our very specific way.
Trans is slowly (but surely) learning the mysteries of networks while rockin' out with the metal and looking for a job that DOESN'T suck.
Zippy is still working his ass off, trying to earn the living those damn dirty democrats are so eager to give to illegal aliens; but hey, booze and boobs don't seem like such a bad way to spend a life time. Bastard.
Hidde has gotten his first degree, and was off traveling to Malaysia and some other shithouse countries to learn how run sweatsho-- business management. Master's is next.
Not much has changed for me, need a better job, need a girl, need more animu. You know, same shit, different day.
And then, there's the WoW.
Oh, yes. The WoW. Trans and I basically sold out to this phenomenon, which keeps us out of important things like success, love, friendship, etc., but how can those compare to Deathgripping a poor mage into a pile of melee? EXACTLY!
Anyway, in my eyes, even as quiet as it is nowadays, llama is more than a place. It's the people, the bonds we've made; and the experiences we've shared together.
And those are things which I'm certain will stay with me, and hopefully you as well, for the rest of our lives.
So, here's to more of those awesome experiences. May they never end.

Happy seventh impact, llamas!
Another year has passed us by and while it's true that we've slowed down a bit, we're still here; doing our thing.
This year, we've set up our very own imageboard, which is working out pretty well; started a last.fm group (yeah, we sold out in less than 45 minutes), and trans even set up a radio; but mostly we just loitered about, as always.
One_of_Nine has recently rejoined us, and get this, he's a TEACHER. TEACHING. Yeah. One of us is instructing young minds.
Trans has been working hard and on occasion, hardly working, while getting pretty damn good with the guitar. He also may or may not have had sexual intercourse with a real live girl. With girl parts.
Zippy's still butchering himself at work; surrounded by hot, drunk, scantly-clad girls of questionable morals. Poor fucking him.
hidde is back to school, but not before getting us to the very edge of notpr0n. Level lambda, baby! Fuck yeah!
Gold pokes his head every so often, I guess they keep them pretty busy in Denmark.
Monkey's dropped in... maybe once. But it's a good thing. When he's the next US president, I'll get to remind him how he skipped making out with a girl to watch an Enterprise episode. Might even get us those F-35s quicker.
I'm still me, workin', poopin', watchin' my animu. Life sucks, but in a good way.
Still, what started as a small experiment has now survived for seven years, some more eventful than others; and that is nothing short of awesome.
Personally, I can't think of a better way or better people to spend them with..... 'cept maybe hot, big-titted women.

Wakaba updated to version 3.0.8. By hand. Line by fucking line. I hate working with diff.
Tastyllama now has its own radio! Years after discussing the idea and commenting on the suckiness of ISP worldwide, we have opened our very own radio via SHOUTcast.
Our radio mostly plays rock, metal, and a bit of everything else. On occasion you'll hear Moses play the guitar or TV shows and movies. Request for all of the above can be placed in our imageboard.

Alright folks,
seeing as we've pretty much all become chantards lately, we now have an image board.
Presenting our very own /llama/, a Wakaba 3.0.7 board which I've modified somewhat, <3 Perl.
List of the small, but significant, changes:
1. Added 'noko' functionality.
2. E-mail cookie now ignores 'sage'.
3. Added reply-specific thumbnailing limits.
4. Added thread locking functionality.
5. Added our very own Llamachan stylesheet, full of 2.1 and 3 goodies.
6. Removed link in deleted image thumbnail. Made no sense whatsoever.
7. Added maximum image size in rules block.
8. Fixed the broken fields in the Manager Post panel.
9. Trimmed the list in the Spam Panel.
10. Added thread sticky functionality.
11. Changed the javascript slightly to add a newline after a quote.
12. Changed the post links to Yotsuba's method.
13. Added original filenames of images to posts and trimming for long filenames.
14. Post images can now be seen in the Management Panel.

A lot of people (read: none) have asked us how they can join the channel. These are your options: 1. Using the new(!) Web IRC client 2. Installing and using an IRC client such as mIRC (Windows), XChat (*nix) or Ircle (Mac). After which, you do the following: 2.1 Connect irc.tribbia.net. 2.2 Join #tastyllama.
And that's about it.

Requirements:
Computing: At least 6 years internet veteran (you know, before social networking was invented), programming/scripting is a plus.
Pop culture: Must be experienced in movies (preferably science-fiction and cult films,) TV shows (same,) anime (all kinds,) music (alternative genres, that doesn't include that which begins with 'H' and ends in 'ip-hop.')
Physicality: Must have big boobs or love them. (If both apply to you, and you do not have a bulge in your pants, join immediately)
Language: English is a must. Know when to use CAPS and know when to talk l33t. Oh, and know how to type 'you.' It's not that hard.
Nationality: We accept all nations of Earth and Mars. 'cept Iran, fuck Iran.

The Sixth Impact is upon us, llamas.
Today, 6 years ago, #tastyllama started as a tiny testing channel. Since then, we've grown... and shrunk.
Our sixth year has been as eventful as it was uneventful. Sad, but true.
A small recap:
Trans dropped Vince McMahon in favour of James Hetfield and is now learning to rock the guitar. He's finally GOT A JOB.
Zippy hates IE as he trudges along his overworked days dealing with stupid people by day and stupider people by night.
hidde is stuck between hilbert space and ?cpsgame as he moves forward in becoming the world's fastest-typing physicist.
Monkey's still on his way to become the next person to screwsave the world in the oval office.
Gold has come back to us and is doing his second degree in Linus Torvalds' hell.
I have been as busy as always, got way deeper into anime and Japanese, just like a regular gaijin otaku, with all the stereotypes that come along.
Indeed, the llamas have certainly made themselves busy these past few months, but worry not, as long as the world has a place for our kind of nutjobs, the llamas will always be around, badly whistling a merry tune.
We totally missed it again! Happy fourth birthday, Llamas! That's right, our little pit of madness and despair has survived its fourth year. Flabbergasting.
It's been slow, and I'd like to thank all the guys (and girl) for sticking to Llama. We're not much, but I'd like to think we've all become friends. Maybe better than most.
So, here's to another year of unrivalled insanity!
